WDX3300

Skyray WDX3300 spectrometer

Single-wavelength X-ray spectrometer with a dual bent-crystal system for light-element analysis and chlorine determination in petroleum products — with a detection limit down to 0.16 ppm.

The WDX3300 is a single-wavelength X-ray spectrometer built on advanced X-ray fluorescence (XRF) technology. It combines a dual bent-crystal dispersing system with wavelength-dispersive detection, and the secondary-focusing effect of the hyperbolic crystals markedly improves light-element detection — the detection limit reaches 0.16 ppm and sensitivity is several times higher than conventional single-crystal designs. A peak-separation technique effectively removes interference from adjacent element lines, while a fully automatic vacuum optical path and intelligent background correction ensure repeatable measurements at very low contents. The product meets the requirements of standard NB/SH/T 0977‑2019 for determining chlorine in light petroleum products by single-wavelength dispersive XRF.

Applications

  • Petrochemicals — chlorine and sulfur in crude oil and petroleum products
  • Trace-level control of light elements
  • Protecting catalysts and process units against corrosion
  • Laboratory quality control

What to ask about

In petrochemicals, residual organochlorine compounds in crude oil are hazardous: at high temperature and pressure chlorine converts to corrosive hydrogen chloride (HCl), poisoning the precious-metal catalysts of cracking units and causing stress-corrosion cracking. The WDX3300 features a dedicated chlorine analysis channel with a petroleum-matrix calibration database. Contact us to match a configuration to your determinations.
