LIBS8000

Handheld LIBS (laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy) analyzer — fast, direct elemental analysis of aluminum alloys, stainless steel and copper alloys with no sample prep; 1.9 kg, multilingual UI.
- LIBS technique — a 1064 nm laser excites plasma and analyzes elements in a second
- Light and portable — 1.9 kg, 5.0-inch touchscreen
- No sample preparation — on-site analysis
- Eight interface languages, including Polish
- IP54 (water and dust) rating and a physical safety interlock
- MES, LIMS and ERP connectivity; hot-swappable battery
The LIBS8000 is a high-performance handheld elemental analyzer based on laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS). A high-energy pulsed laser ablates the sample surface to form a plasma, whose emission spectrum the spectrometer collects and analyzes — enabling fast qualitative and quantitative determination of elements. It is portable, easy to operate and fast, and needs no sample preparation, making it well suited to on-site analysis of aluminum alloys, stainless steel, copper alloys and other materials.
Applications
- Aluminum-alloy industry and aluminum recycling
- Aerospace and automotive
- Pipe-material identification in petrochemicals
- Material verification and metal-scrap sorting
What to ask about
The LIBS8000 returns a result in as little as one second, weighs 1.9 kg and has a 5-inch touchscreen and an eight-language interface (including Polish). An IP54 rating and a physical safety interlock allow work in harsh conditions, the battery is hot-swappable, and data can be linked to MES, LIMS and ERP systems.
