The Skyray GC-MS 6800S couples gas chromatography with mass spectrometry. It develops the 6800 series with improvements in contamination resistance, sensitivity and stability. Operators use a 7-inch IPS touchscreen, while electronic flow and pressure control (EFC/EPC) manages carrier-gas conditions.
Analytical path and software
The system uses a high-performance ion-source filament designed for efficient electron emission and contamination resistance. Digital dynamic power compensation supports mass-peak shape across the mass range as well as sensitivity and resolution. A multi-level intelligent protection system monitors instrument status and protects key components under abnormal operating conditions. The software controls the GC, MS and autosampler, while the upgradeable NIST23 spectral library supports compound identification.
Sample introduction
The platform can work with a liquid autosampler, headspace sampler, purge-and-trap system, SPME, pyrolyser and thermal desorber. These options support workflows for volatile organic compounds, liquid extracts or materials requiring thermal decomposition. Pairing the instrument with the UPY pyrolyser provides a route for rapid screening of phthalates covered by RoHS 2.0.
