EDX 5500H

EDXRF analyzer for elemental mud logging of drill cuttings — fast determination of rock composition and lithology identification in the field and the lab.
- Lithology identification from the elemental composition of cuttings
- Vacuum chamber and a FAST-SDD detector — very low detection limits
- 4096-channel digital technology and an ultra-thin beryllium-window tube
- Anti-vibration design — mobile (vehicle-mounted) and laboratory measurement
- Throughput: 30+ elements in 1–4 min, up to 40 elements simultaneously
- Set: main unit, computer, printer, crusher, pellet press and vacuum pump
The EDX 5500H is an EDXRF analyzer for elemental mud logging of drill cuttings, built on Skyray’s 20+ years of XRF spectrometry experience. It identifies lithology from the characteristic elemental composition of cuttings, which makes it suitable for any drilling condition. A vacuum chamber and a high-sensitivity semiconductor detector provide very low detection limits, while 4096-channel digital technology and an ultra-thin beryllium-window tube deliver a high count rate and stability.
Applications
- Elemental mud logging in oil-and-gas drilling
- Real-time delineation of oil and gas boundaries
- Geological prospecting and multi-element field analysis
What to ask about
A unique anti-vibration design, a small vacuum chamber and stable sample fixturing allow measurement in demanding field conditions, including a vehicle-mounted version. A single sample with 30+ elements is analyzed in 1–4 minutes. Contact us to match a configuration to your geological tasks.
