CM7102

Compact, sensitive personal radiation dosimeter and alarm with a GM counter — measures X, gamma and hard beta radiation, dose rate and cumulative dose with alarms.
- Sensitive Geiger-Müller (GM) counter
- Measures X, gamma and hard beta radiation
- Simultaneous dose-rate and cumulative-dose measurement
- Personal-dose and dose-rate alarms
- Source-finding function and maximum-value hold
- Backlit LCD display and automatic ranging
The CM7102 is a small, sensitive personal radiation dosimeter and alarm. It uses a modern, low-power embedded microprocessor as its data-processing unit and a sensitive Geiger-Müller (GM) counter as its detector. It offers a fast response, a wide measurement range and broad applicability. It monitors X, gamma and hard beta radiation, making it a general-purpose dose meter — from personal cumulative-dose and dose-rate alarms, through measuring food, water and everyday items, to assessing dose rates in buildings, hospitals, factories and schools.
Applications
- Personal-dose monitoring for operators of X-ray (e.g. XRF) instruments
- Dose-rate measurements in buildings, hospitals, factories and schools
- Checking radiation levels of food, water and items
- Locating and overseeing radiation sources
What to ask about
The sensitive GM counter measures dose rate and cumulative dose simultaneously, while a pulse source-finding function helps quickly locate a radioactive source. A backlit display, automatic ranging and maximum-value hold ease the work. It is a practical complement to XRF instrument deployments within radiation protection.
